Walt Disney World Christmas Time In 2021
When celebrating a Walt Disney World Christmas in 2021, you can expect some changes, particularly when compared to 2020.
Overall, it seems the decorations are not appearing as quickly as they have in the past. This is most likely due to social distancing protocols causing less hands to be able to help.
However, there are some things that have returned. Magic Kingdom Christmas party is one of the most welcome re-entries on the Disney World Christmas lineup. While the traditional Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party, a special ticketed after-hours event, was cancelled for 2020 before being completely eliminated, a new holiday party has debuted inside the Magic Kingdom.
Disneys Very Merriest After Hours began November 8th and continues through December 21. This after hours event requires a separate ticket to attend, but continues to offer many of the special Christmas touches guests loved to receive during Mickeys Very Merry event, including special entertainment, the return of a Christmas parade and access to all of the rides you could wish for.
Likewise, EPCOT, the Candlelight Processional will return to EPCOT in 2021, beginning November 26, featuring celebrity narrators such as Pat Sajak, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chita Rivera and Jodi Benson. Guests can also sample season treats hailing from the countries of the World Showcase in the International Festival of the Holidays.

Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom received its first holiday decorations right after Halloween! Overnight, the park transformed from Halloween decor to Christmas decor. The 60-foot Christmas tree is up at the front of Main Street USA, wreaths hang from the shops lining Main Street, and festive decor can be seen around the park.
Disneys Hollywood Studios
Disneys Hollywood Studios started to see holiday decorations show up before Halloween was over! Christmas stars line Sunset Boulevard leading to Tower of Terror. If you head over to Echo Lake you can also see the big ornaments in the water.
Disneys Animal Kingdom
Disneys Animal Kingdom is looking very festive already! The iconic 45-foot Christmas tree is up outside of the park entrance. Garland and wreaths line the entrance sign, shops and light poles inside the park. We love all of the animal touches included in the decorations!

Lets face it, for many people, going during Christmas week is unavoidable. Im a firm believer that even a crowded time at Disney is better than no time at Disney.
However, you want to be smart about how you approach the entire trip when going at the busiest time of year.
The following tips mostly focus on how to have a great Disney Christmas trip during the busiest time, but they also apply to going to Disney in general during the Christmas season.
When Do The Disney Hotels Decorate And What Is The Best Way To Tour Them In Person
Disney World begins decorating for Christmas the week after Halloween , but most of the resort hotels aren’t fully decked out until around mid-November. They’re all on slightly different schedules, but if you know you want to visit them all, we recommend you book your stay for the week of Thanksgiving or later. All the decorations and displays are generally guaranteed to all be ready by the official holiday season start date, but you may get lucky and see some pop up ahead of time. In 2021, the decorations came early the holidays officially began Nov. 12, but the Grand Floridian’s massive gingerbread house was completed by Nov. 10, and Beach Club’s carousel was out on display Nov. 1.
If you want to see all of the displays in person, we recommend dedicating a full day to tour them. Many of our favorites can be found along the resort monorail loop or in the EPCOT resort area, making it easy to hop from one to the next. We personally started out by parking our car at the Transportation and Ticket Center and hopping on the resort monorail. If you’re using Disney transportation, take the bus to start at Magic Kingdom or one of the resorts along the monorail loop.
Once you’re done touring the resorts around Magic Kingdom, drive or take Disney transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and take the Friendship Boat to Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts.

Magic Kingdom Jingle Cruise
A classic attraction, Jungle Cruise, gets a fun holiday makeover turning it into Jingle Cruise. Find Christmas upgrades like a tropical inspired Christmas tree in the queue and seasonal flair throughout the ride.
Even the Jingle Cruise jokes get a Christmas update with lots of holiday themed puns and stories. For example, once when leaving the dock our skipper told us to wave to the nice people, but also that one naughty person. He then yelled, You know what you did! before calmly continuing our tour.

Unfortunately, when it comes to Disney World holiday food specials, Animal Kingdom is about as stingy as it gets.
