Faux-tin drop-ceiling tiles are an excellent way to add decorative flare to your commercial business or home, but not everyone is familiar with them. I want to touch on an oversight from my previous post about the great faux-tin ceiling photos that James sent in before getting into todays topics I forgot to mention that those decorative ceiling tiles were hand painted! That beautiful appearance seen in the pictures isnt just from the faux-tin tiles although they are very nice in their original finish its also because James took the time to create his own unique look and the finished product is evidence of his hard work. The next time youre in a professional building such as a medical office or retail store, take a look at the ceiling. Use chalk line markings at the top of the wall angle. You can then nail the wall angle at every wall stud with drywall nails. Avoid nailing anywhere near a corner bead.

When beginning your drop ceiling project, use strings as a guide. Use these guide lines to drive in your hanging screws.

Throughout history, the ceiling has been everything from an inspiring design element to an afterthought.
