Picking Tile At Floor & Decor
Hey everyone! Today Im doing a little spotlight of one of our sponsors for the One Room ChallengeFloor & Decor! Floor & Decor Expands Its Footprint In New Jersey With Third Store
The Georgia-based floor coverings retailer Floor & Decor has opened a location in Paramus, expanding its foothold in New Jersey with its third flooring superstore.
The 60,179 square foot store, located in a former Sports Authority building at 50 A& S Drive, just west of Paramus Park mall, opened this week, two years after Floor & Decor opened its first New Jersey store, in Wayne.
The second Floor & Decor in New Jersey opened in Moorestown, in Burlington County, in the fall of 2016.
Floor & Decor sells hard-surface floor covering, such as wood floors and tiles, but no carpeting or rugs. It also sells tile and stone for kitchens, bathrooms.
‘THE WALMART WAY’:Walmart Academy celebrates first graduates
The Floor & Decor business strategy is to have a greater selection, and lower prices, than the competition. Local store managers are allowed to select merchandise that meets the decorating tastes and demands of the areas where they are located.
Its merchandise is displayed warehouse-style, but there is a design center at the front of each store with displays of how tile or stone can be used creatively in a home.
Floor & Decor has grown rapidly since it was founded in 2000, opening more than 50 stores in the first 15 years in business. The company went public in April and trades on the New York Stock Exchange as FND.
The Paramus store will have about 40 employees, led by Jake Jimenez, the stores chief executive merchant.

Competing with the newer Casa Gangotena as the top 5-star luxury hotel in Ecuador, Plaza Grande sits on Quitos main plaza and is awash in roses and upscale touches throughout.
Plaza Grande is housed within the shell of the former Hotel Majestic, the capitals flagship offering for nearly half a century. The new owners gutted it entirely and replaced it with this topoftheline offering, which includes three restaurants, function room, small spa and gym, wireless internet, and limousine service. The faultless service is another added bonus: they bend over backwards to please and with only 15 suites, personal service is a given.
The entrance could be grander, but it is sumptuous inside. The ground floor is occupied by reception and the hotels restaurantcafé serving international and Ecuadorian favorites, which would have benefited from a terrace with outside tables. Its a popular power lunch spot for officials and business owners, but also a deservedly popular restaurant for tourists, with local dishes taken up a few notches in refinement and strolling musicians adding a festive air.

El Arrastre De Caudas
On the Wednesday of Holy Week, a liturgy is held called el Arrastre de Caudas, roughly the dragging of the trains, said to be unique to this cathedral. It derives from ancient Roman practice, in which a banner was passed over the body of a deceased general and then flown over his troops in a symbolic transfer of his qualities to them. The ceremony originated in Seville and passed to its suffragan dioceses of Quito and Lima, surviving only in Quito since the sixteenth century. The cauda is a black cloth several meters in length that sweeps the floor behind each of the cathedral canons as they process through the aisles of the cathedral as part of a larger procession of clerics including the archbishop carrying a relic of the True Cross. A second large cloth banner, black with a red cross, covers the altar and then is waved by the archbishop over the cathedral canons who have prostrated themselves after processing with their trains and then over the congregation.
